Garhwa put the Tattered Pants into the machine, and got some scrapped cloth. Myxle Gutwrench teaches players how to use it. It can break down weapons or armor of good quality or higher into raw materials. The machine in the screenshot above is called the Scrap-O-Matic 1000. What happens in the Beta stays in the Beta. This Achievement won’t carry over into the “live” game. I think it is for completing enough quests in the Zanchuli quest chain. I earned The Zanchuli Council Achievement. Anyone who knows me well can likely figure out why I made that choice. Pick one – and make one NPC happy while disappointing the other one. Two NPCs, of opposing religions, offered him their Loa.Ī player can only take one – but it looks like there is an option to change it later. Sometime after Garhwa the Highmountain Tauren fought some Guardians, he had to make a choice. Absolutely adorable! I’ll leave you to watch the video to see what happened after that. This led to a quest where the player has to shoo away small, flying dinosaurs. The best part about that quest is that players get an opportunity to take a look at the roads, waterfalls, flora and fauna of the area. I suspect it may have been confusing because I was playing while tired. For whatever reason, this was not obvious to me at the time I was doing the quest. When I watched the video, it became very clear that I was supposed to throw the totems into the little shiny areas on the road as we flew by. It took me a while to understand not only that I should be clicking a button and throwing totems, but also to throw those totems in the right place. In the video above, I picked up a quest that involved throwing totems on the ground as a Pterrordax flies me (and an NPC) around an area. Cute little “pests”! That quest went well, but ended with something unexpected (and possibly glitched). I picked up a quest that required me to kill off a certain number of them. This tiny green dinosaur is a Thieving Snapper. Pairs of two very angry opposing religious groups stand around and yell at each other. The quests I was working on emphasizes the animosity between one group (who follows one Loa) and another group (who follows a different one). I like the overall style and color palette here. There are a lot of dinosaurs in this area of the game, and some really decorative NPCs (non-player characters). The result was a more informative video than I might have ended up with if I was all by myself. It was fun to have someone to talk about the Battle for Azeroth beta content with. I kind of got sidetracked along the way – but eventually finished it.Ī person who is new to me popped into my Twitch chat and kept me company. The goal is to meet Zul the Prophet in Tal’Gurub. In the video above, Garhwa (my Highmountain Tauren) is working on a quest that was given to him by King Rastakhan. This blog includes screenshots, Twitch videos, and commentary about my experience in the Battle for Azeroth beta. The next set of quests Garhwa picked up were in a brand new area that had plenty of dinosaurs. After Garhwa, my Highmountain Tauren Hunter, completed the Battle for Lordaeron in the World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth Beta, I decided to continue exploring.

Now we have seen how we can tags words using NLTK. For example, in our POS tag code, “PRP” stands for Pronoun and “JJ” stands for Adjective. We get a complete list of what the abbreviations mean. import nltkĪfter running the above code, we get the output. The following block of code helps us to decipher the tags provided by NLTK. If you look at the parts-of-speech tags you may get confused by what does “PRP” means or what does “JJ” means. Output:Īs you can see in the output, the words in our input sentence are tagged automatically to their respective parts of speech. Now, we use the POS tagger provided by NLTK to POS tag our words. Output:Īs I had mentioned previously, before POS tagging the words it is necessary that we tokenize our text first. The output of the above code is as follows. Txt = ("We are trying to learn how pos tagging works") On the fourth line, we are tokenizing our text into words and finally printing the tokenized words. This helps to reduce the size of our vector. On the third line, we are converting our text to lowercase. Next, we define a sentence and assign it to the variable “txt”. As it turns out, we can use NLTK for the task of POS tagging too. The NLTK library is one of the most popular libraries for NLP and for a good reason. Rather than using our own tagset, we usually make use of well-known defined tagsets. This is essential information that the tagger must be given. The parts of speech explains how a word is used in a sentence.Ī tagset is called a set of predefined tags. This the main function or role of a POS tagger. So basically in POS tagging, we are taking the individual words and automatically tagging them with their correct part-of-speech. Thus tagging is a kind of classification. When you visit websites to read articles or blogs, you must have noticed that those articles or blogs are tagged with specific topics. To tag, something means you classify it as something. Now what does this “tagging” in “POS tagging” mean? Okay, so now we know what the parts-of-speech are. Note that this is very basic definition and I have not listed all the grammatical parts. Examples include when, unless, so that, etc.

A very common size is 4.5″, and 4.5″ is plenty of aperture for a first scope. So a typical low-end reflector will be 4″ or so in diameter. Mirrors are easier to make than lenses, so within any particular price range reflectors tend to be larger. Most small hobby killers tend to be refractors (with an objective lens in front) rather than reflectors (with a mirror at the bottom). The price tag will tell you which is which. There are, of course, some very high-end small scopes, mostly optimized for astrophotography. So as a general rule, stay above three inches in aperture. Small scopes tend to be low-quality, too, with uncorrected objective lenses that display color fringing around bright objects and often won’t even come to sharp focus. While this scope may look pretty good, its equatorial mount, lousy finder, 60-mm aperture, 0.965-inch eyepiece, and 3× Barlow make it a hobby killer.Īnything below about 3 inches (76 mm) in aperture is likely to be too small to provide a pleasing view of anything more than the Moon and a few bright star clusters. What you want is the right-size scope for your interest level and ability. That’s true up to a point, but if you buy a scope that’s too big and unwieldy, it could become a hobby killer simply because it’s too difficult to take outside and set up. So in general, the bigger the aperture (the diameter of the objective lens or primary mirror) the more useful the scope. It stands to reason that the more light you gather, the more you can see. Even a great scope can be a hobby killer if it's too difficult to carry.Ī telescope’s primary job is to gather light and squeeze that light down into a small beam that it directs into your eye. Chief among them are aperture, eyepieces, and the mount. So what makes a hobby killer? Many factors add together to make a lousy overall package. Making an informed choice can get you a scope that will provide you with many years of enjoyment. If you’re a beginner, a few minutes reading this article before you buy a telescope can save you a lot of disappointment later. It only takes a couple of nights like that for a person to decide that astronomy isn’t any fun - thus the term “hobby killer.”Īs with so many other things in life, education can help you avoid making frustrating mistakes. I’ve watched people spend all night trying to find something, anything, to look at, often spending their entire time fiddling with the scope rather than observing the sky. When you want to enjoy a night out under the stars, you’re better off with a pair of binoculars or just with your naked eyes than with a telescope that can’t be aimed easily and doesn’t show a pleasing view of whatever you do manage to point it at. It may be hard to believe, but some telescopes are worse than having no scope at all. And every year we face the same problem: how to gently tell some of them that what they’ve got is better suited for a boat anchor than for astronomy. Every January my astronomy club hosts a telescope workshop in which we help people learn how to use the telescopes they got for the holidays or tune up scopes that have been gathering dust in closets. Taking smaller countries to slowly expand my influence became harder with each American and British occupation, so I adopted a more sinister plan: stage a coup and implement a communist regime if you can’t take the country by force. I staged coups in US, Great Britain, Poland, Sweden, and Germany. All while avoiding the large swaths of British and French territory in Africa.īy the time the 1950s rolled around, the world was vastly different than what history books portrayed. Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, and Saudi Arabia were taken over with no sweat. Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania all fell to my hands easily. I compensated for my lack of understanding of air and naval deployment with large ground troops. Thankfully, the Soviet Union’s size allowed for massive army recruitment. I clicked where I was told to click, but I still wasn’t sure if it even did anything. The game’s dedicated wiki page and the Paradox Interactive forums were both very helpful, especially when I couldn’t figure out how to send out my air fleet. Yet even though I was progressing as intended, I found it unfortunate that I still needed my internet browser open at all times simply because there were still too many things left unexplained. Eventually, I started planning out my first invasion while keeping an eye on Central Europe. I assigned researchers to work on various sciences while I enlisted generals to lead my fighters. I took control of my country’s construction and recruited troops for training. Things started making more sense to me as I recognized the contents better. I only have three years before the Germans start moving, but for Comrade Pete’s sake, someone tell me what to click!Īfter taking a few hours of break because I simply was too overwhelmed with the bloated interface, I took to the beginner’s guide for the fourth time. I also wanted to make sure that the troops were properly armed, and that my researchers were working on improving technology. My mind raced with thoughts of “What does that one do?” and “I didn’t mean to click that.” I knew I needed to build factories and improve infrastructures. I picked my country (Soviet Union) and year (1936), and was immediately overwhelmed by the amount of buttons presented to me. I booted up the game and quietly admired the images shown to me while it was loading. I revisited the document several times, and by the time I finished my third reading, I decided I was ready. I took my time to read the 27-page beginner’s guide and took notes on what I needed to do as an aspiring military genius. What could go wrong, right?īefore I could even wage war with the world, I had to fight my own battles first with the game’s interface. Bison (“Of course!”) After all, Soviet Union boasts a huge landmass, not to mention its strategic view of Europe and Asia.
